It is necessary to undergo an eye examination at least once a year.
This will allow you to notice the development of the disease or alarming signs in time, prevent or minimize the consequences.

Risk groups:
• age 35-40 years;
• patients with hereditary factor of eye disease;
• patients with thyroid diseases and diabetes mellitus.

It is also recommended to visit a doctor for those whose professional activity requires strong eye strain.

In what cases is consultation necessary:

• visual impairment;
• lacrimation;
• redness of the eyes, continuous itching;
• photophobia;
• blurred vision;
• the appearance of dots, floating shadows;
• feeling of getting sand;
• eye tic;
• swelling of the eyelids;
• bifurcation of images;
• reduced visibility in bright light;
• atypical discharge.

The average time of reception takes from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the condition of the eyes.

If you are a user of soft contact lenses (MCL), it is recommended to remove them 24 hours before the scheduled examination.

Wearing the MCL changes the topography of the cornea, so to get more accurate data about your vision, come for an examination without contact lenses.

You can put on the lenses immediately after the end of the reception, if there are no contraindications to wearing them.

Some types of vision diagnostics require pupil dilation. To do this, use special drops – mydriatics. When the pupil is dilated, vision is blurry for up to 1.5 days, depending on the color of the eyes and other features of vision. Therefore, after the pupil dilation, you will not be able to drive a car, work at a computer, use a mobile phone, read and watch TV.
